After Installing the latest version of Proxmox ...
Updates
ssh into the Proxmox server
username: root
password: you decide (0123456789)
Add the following lines in /etc/apt/sources.list
# not for production use, Proxmox VE pve-no-subsription
deb http://download.proxmox.com/debian/pve bookworm pve-no-subscription
Comment out the pve-enterprise.list entry
nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pve-enterprise.list
# deb https://enterprise.proxmox.com/debian/pve bookworm pve-enterprise
Comment out the ceph.list entry
nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ceph.list
# deb https://enterprise.proxmox.com/debian/ceph-quincy bookworm enterprise
Do the update
apt update && apt dist-upgrade
And reboot
Set up your Disk partitioning
PCIe Passthrough
nano /etc/default/grub
#GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet" <--- comment out this line
#GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet intel_iommu=on" <--- add this line
Run "update-grub"
Edit Modules
nano /etc/modules (add the following lines)
vfio
vfio_iommu_type1
vfio_pci
vfio_virqfd
And reboot
Apply vlan
Add nfs share
Schedule backups
Do the initial backup
